What is your cancellation policy?
While Advantage Therapy Services understands that illnesses and emergencies occur, we respectfully request that you avoid frequent cancellations or “no shows.” Please adhere to our following policy regarding providing our office with advanced notification for cancellations resulting from a conflicting appointment, vacation, obligations for work or family, or any other event.
All cancellations must be submitted 24 hours before your scheduled therapy appointment or evaluation.
The client may be charged a fee of $50.00 if the following occurs:
- cancellations are made less than the required 24 hours, or
- if the client fails to show up for a scheduled appointment
This fee will be billed directly to the client and not their health insurance company, as medical insurance does not cover missed sessions.
If you reschedule or are late for 3 scheduled appointments within an established care plan or the initial evaluation, the office will reserve the right to discharge the client. Additionally, if you arrive late for a scheduled appointment, the session will still end at the scheduled time or may be canceled.
If you fail to appear for an appointment (no show) 2 or more times for either an established plan of care or initial evaluation without providing the appropriate advanced notification, the office reserves the right to cancel all pending appointments and no longer offer you services as a client.

How does the therapy process work?
First, you will schedule your appointment for an evaluation. We will ask you questions about your history, current responsibilities, and personal goals at your evaluation. Next, we will complete a full evaluation, review the assessment results, and develop goals with you based on the results.
After your initial evaluation, we will schedule your therapy sessions for treatment. We typically see patients one or two times a week; however, we are flexible with scheduling and can see you more or less often, depending on your financial situation, need for care, and personal circumstances.
Do you provide your clients with exercise programs to work on in between sessions?
Yes! The therapists for both speech therapy and physical therapy will provide you with a home program to complete outside of therapy. This home program is personalized for you and is very important for helping you reach your goals.

How did you get started in our careers?
Haley Willis CCC-SLP, M.A.
Haley became interested in speech-language pathology after her grandmother experienced a stroke. While visiting her grandmother, she had the opportunity to see a speech therapist administer an evaluation with her grandmother.
From that point on, Haley knew she wanted to be a speech therapist. As her grandmother’s health continued to decline, she wanted to learn more about strokes and became a part-time caregiver along with her family.
Her grandmother was later diagnosed with dementia which led Haley to research dementia. After she graduated from Chico State University with her Master’s degree, she immediately began working at a skilled nursing facility, where she started developing her expertise in neurological conditions.
Rylan Willis PT, DPT
Rylan Willis has always been interested in physical fitness. He participated in Kenpo karate starting at the age of four and continues to participate in martial arts to this day.
He also became very interested in the medical field in college. As he continued to participate in recreational physical activities and his interest in the medical field grew, he discovered that physical therapy was the perfect career choice.
How was Advantage Therapy Services created?
Haley and Rylan had the opportunity to work together in an outpatient setting with a wide variety of patients. Over time, they learned how closely tied physical therapy and speech therapy were to one another. They developed a multi-disciplinary team to provide their patients with an even higher level of quality care than that previously offered in a traditional clinic.
For example, patients with memory difficulties could work on remembering the steps for transfers with Haley during speech therapy and then practice the steps with Rylan during physical therapy.
Together, they were able to provide a functional program tailored to each patient’s individual needs. They decided to make this level of compassionate and personalized care more easily accessible to patients and created their private practice.
