You are in pain.
Whether it was the result of an accident, sports injury, or a previous injury that has flared up, you wake up in pain and it is exhausting. You are avoiding your favorite activities because you know it will hurt to participate. You are experiencing decreased strength, difficulty with movement, and are frustrated that your body isn’t healing on its own.
You Are Concerned.
Experiencing chronic pain can often be exhausting and can cause secondary issues like depression or anxiety. You may be asking yourself:
Am I stuck like this?
Do I have to take pain pills forever?
Can orthopedic manual physical therapy help me?
You just want to get back to how you were before your injury.
At Advantage Therapy Services, we provide hands-on treatment to decrease pain and improve mobility of the injured area. Our physical therapist will administer a full evaluation of your physical health and mobility in order to determine the severity of the injury and the underlying cause of your pain. After your evaluation, we will provide you with the results and discuss our recommended treatment plan to begin alleviating your pain and put you on a path to healing.
Some of the manual therapy components that you can expect to experience during your appointment include:
- Mobilizing soft tissues and joints
- Massage
- Spinal mobilization
- Stretching
- Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (such as Cupping therapy)
Depending on your treatment plan, we may also utilize our in-office exercise area to help you improve your strength, flexibility, and promote healing. Our exercise area includes a variety of helpful instruments such as resistance bands, free weights, yoga balls, and more.
